• Authorities Monitor Supply Continuously
Srinagar: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Friday said that the availability of fuel and LPG remains stable and adequate across Jammu and Kashmir, assuring uninterrupted supply and urging consumers to avoid panic buying.
State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry in J&K, Himanshu Sharma, said that the stock position of Motor Spirit (petrol) and High-Speed Diesel is normal across the Union Territory, with sufficient inventory maintained at depots and retail outlets to meet current demand.
He further said that LPG stocks at bottling plants are also comfortable, with regular replenishment ensuring smooth distribution. “Adequate inventory levels are being maintained as per prescribed norms, and supplies are being continuously monitored,” he said.
Officials said that OMCs have streamlined logistics and taken necessary steps to expedite deliveries to ensure there is no disruption in supply across any region.
Advising the public, Sharma urged consumers not to indulge in panic purchasing, stating that there is no shortage of fuel or LPG in the Union Territory. LPG consumers have also been encouraged to use digital booking platforms and verify deliveries through the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system to ensure transparency.
OMCs have sought public cooperation in maintaining a smooth and efficient supply chain, reiterating that the situation remains under constant review and fully under control.
