Pulwama : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested two individuals and also recovered contraband substances during a checkpoint operation in Kokernag area.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that a joint team of Police Station Kokernag and SOG Kokernag intercepted the suspects at Hangulgund and recovered substances resembling brown sugar weighing approximately 5.50 grams and 6.40 grams. The accused have been identified as Abid Ahmad Naikoo and Suhail Ahmad Dar, both residents of Nagam, Kokernag. A case under FIR No. 18/2026 has been registered at Police Station Kokernag, and further investigation has been taken up.
