Srinagar :TheChinar Corps of the Indian Army organised a multi-faceted humanitarian outreach programme at the Forward Surgical Centre, 328 Field Hospital, Tangdhar, from March 24 to 27 under Operation Sadbhavana.
As part of the initiative, a dedicated eye camp was conducted during which 22 patients from the local area successfully underwent cataract surgeries, restoring vision and improving quality of life.
Simultaneously, a medical and dental camp was organised to cater to the broader healthcare needs of the local population. Residents were provided professional consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and medical advice for a range of ailments, with a focus on promoting preventive healthcare awareness.
A blood donation camp was also held alongside the outreach programme, witnessing voluntary participation from Army personnel. The collected blood units were handed over to the Sub District Hospital Kupwara, contributing to strengthening healthcare preparedness in the region.
Officials said the initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to humanitarian service and its efforts to build trust and resilience among communities in remote areas of Kashmir.
