Kulgam :A meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam  with all stakeholders including representatives of SBDU, BHDs and Branch Managers of various banks of the district to review the status of pending cases under Mission YUVA.

During the meeting, it was informed that 1450 Mission YUVA cases are pending at different bank branches across the district.

Expressing serious concern over the pendency, the Deputy Commissioner directed all banks and concerned departments to ensure time-bound disposal of all cases so that the objective of promoting self-employment among youth is achieved.

The DC instructed banks to accord top priority to Mission YUVA cases and emphasized that branch-wise pendency should be reviewed on a daily and weekly basis.

He further directed that cases pending due to minor deficiencies must be resolved immediately in coordination with YUVA Doots and sponsoring agencies.

The Deputy Commissioner also stressed that no eligible case should be rejected without proper justification, and applicants must be guided to remove deficiencies.

He directed Cluster Heads to ensure close monitoring and submit weekly progress reports.

BHDs and YUVA Doots were asked to actively assist applicants in completing documentation and following up with banks for early sanction of cases.

Banks have been directed to fix daily targets for each branch to clear the backlog and to expedite the disposal of pending applications, a district-wide mission mode drive will be launched.

The meeting also decided that pending cases will be categorized based on incomplete documentation, under process, sanction pending, and rejected cases requiring review, so that necessary action can be taken promptly.

SBDU officials, BHDs and YUVA Doots were instructed to conduct door-to-door follow-ups with beneficiaries, assist in removal of deficiencies and act as a bridge between banks and applicants.

Banks were further directed to nominate nodal officers in each branch and hold regular block-level review meetings with concerned departments to ensure smooth coordination.

For the convenience of applicants, loan facilitation camps will also be organized at the block level, while beneficiaries will be informed about deficiencies through calls and SMS.

The Deputy Commissioner set a strict timeline of 10 days to clear all pending Mission YUVA cases in mission mode.
