Bhaderwah :The 37th District Volleyball Championship concluded successfully at BhaderwahWednesday , witnessing thrilling matches and enthusiastic participation from various teams from across the district. ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal was the Chief Guest on the final day.
In the title match, Sofi Club Dhadkai defeated Bhalessa Volleyball Club by 2–1 sets. Both teams displayed remarkable skill, coordination and determination throughout the match. The set scores stood at 25–18, 19–25 and 15–10 in favour of Sofi Club Dhadkai. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Sofi Club Dhadkai secured its place in the final by defeating Tiger Sinoo Club, while Bhalessa Volleyball Club advanced after defeating Bharti Volleyball Club.
The closing ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Principal Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah, Kailash K. Chander; Naib Tehsildar Parampreet Singh; Physical Training Instructor Angrez Singh along with other officials and sports enthusiasts.
Addressing the gathering, ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal highlighted the importance of sports in building a healthy and disciplined society. He encouraged youth to stay away from drugs and limit excessive mobile usage, urging them to actively participate in sports and physical activities. He also appreciated the Sports Council and Volleyball Association for organizing such events.
