Srinagar: LG Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, to be celebrated tomorrow.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes, stating that the festival marks the sacred birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram, the epitome of virtue and righteousness. He said Shri Ram’s life stands as a timeless testament to compassion, humility, unwavering commitment to truth, selfless dedication to duty, and discipline.
He observed that the occasion inspires people to imbibe these timeless ideals in their daily lives and to serve humanity selflessly. The Lieutenant Governor prayed for peace, joy and prosperity, expressing hope that the festival brings happiness and harmony to every home.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended his heartfelt greetings, describing Shri Ram as the embodiment of righteousness, virtue and exemplary conduct. He said the ideals and teachings of Shri Ram continue to guide people towards the path of truth and selfless service.
The Chief Minister noted that Ram Navami is not merely a religious celebration but also an occasion to reaffirm collective commitment to serving humanity with sincerity and dedication. He prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and extended his best wishes to those celebrating the festival.
