DC Poonch inaugurates training of Charge Officers for Census 2027

POONCH, MARCH 24: A three day training programme for Charge Officers for Census 2027 commenced today in the Conference Hall, marking a significant step towards preparations for the upcoming Census.

The programme was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma who delivered the inaugural address and highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts, accuracy and timely execution for the successful conduct of Census operations.

Tehsildars and CEO MC Poonch are participating as Charge Officers. The Executive Officer Surankote and the Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Poonch, have been designated as Charge Officers for Municipal committee Poonch Municipal Council Poonch respectively.

Officials from the Planning Department and other concerned departments, including the District Informatics Officer (DIO), NIC, are actively participating in the training programme.

During the session, a detailed PowerPoint presentation was delivered, training material was distributed among the participants, and the Census timeline was discussed in detail. The roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders were clearly outlined to ensure smooth and efficient implementation of the Census process.
