DC Anantnag reviews Shabi-Qadar, Navratra, Eidul-Fitr, Nauroz arrangements

Anantnag :Deputy Commissioner (DC), Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat today chaired a comprehensive meeting at Dak Bungalow Khanabal, to review and finalise the arrangements for smooth observance of upcoming holy days and festivals of Shab-i-Qadar, Navratra, Eidul-Fitr, and Nauroz-2026, in the district.

The meeting was attended by SP, ADC, SEs PHE & KPDCL; ACR, SDMs, CAHO, DD Fisheries, ARTO, AD FCS&CA, Tehsildars, DSHO, AMO, representatives of Legal Metrology, Food Safety, Traffic, EOs of MCs and other concerned officers.

 

At the outset, the officers briefed the chair about the necessary arrangements that have been put in place for smooth observance of these holy and festive days.

Addressing the meeting, the DC said it is essential the people of the respective communities are duly facilitated for their ease and convenience.

On the occasion, the DC called for providing all the requisite facilities to the devotees visiting Khiram Dargah Shareef, Kabamarg, Reshmool, Aishmuqam, Seer Hamdan and other shrines, mosques and Eidgahs on upcoming ShabiQadar and EidulFitr.

He directed the concerned departments to ensure adequatesupply of water and essential commodities along with uninterrupted electricity during the holy days.

Instructions were also issued regarding seamless transport management, medicare, sanitation facilities besides proper security and deployment of fire and emergency tenders especially near the shrines and mosques.

Underscoring the need for synergy among line departments, the DC said that proper coordination is vital to put in place the necessary arrangements particularly at places of congregation.

He stressed that special market checking drives be conducted by the designated teams in their jurisdiction to ensure that the commodities are available at fair price and quality. Visits to the Food Business Units by joint teams shall also be made to ensure provision of safe and hygienic food items to the consumers, he remarked.

SDMs and Tehsildars were instructed to closely monitor and facilitate the seamless observance of ShabiQadar and EidulFitr in their respective subdivisions through control rooms and monitoring cells.

Regarding Navratra and Nauroz celebrations, the SDMs and district officers were directed to adequately facilitate the people and devotees from the concerned communities, assuring these festivals are celebrated with traditional fervor and enthusiasmbefitting their religious and cultural significance. They were instructed to ensure proper supply of essential commodities and other amenities especially at Transit Accommodations and Ragunath, Nagdandi and Mattan Temples.

Tehsildars and other officers were further directed to visit these places and resolve the issues, if any, in advance.
