Students, faculty members, and officials from SANKALP–HEW Mission Shakti Srinagar actively participated in the programme and contributed to the plantation activities within the Child Care Institutions. The event served as an opportunity to engage young minds in discussions on gender equality, environmental conservation, and social responsibility.
The drive aimed to promote awareness about the importance and value of the girl child in society, encourage environmental conservation through plantation activities, inspire students and youth to participate in sustainable and socially responsible initiatives, strengthen the message of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
During the event, participants also pledged to nurture and care for the planted saplings, reflecting the collective responsibility of society to protect the environment and support the growth, development, and dignity of every girl child.
The initiative highlighted the strong message that just like a sapling needs care and protection to grow into a strong tree, every girl child deserves equal opportunities, support, and encouragement to flourish in society.
