Jammu: An Army soldier lost his life while performing duty along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati Sector of Jammu’s Poonch district, officials said on Monday.
A spokesman of Army’s White Knight Corps (16 Corps) said “Braveheart Naik Tilak Singh was found unconscious while on duty along the LoC on March 15. The soldier was immediately provided medical assistance after he was found unresponsive during operational deployment.”
“However, despite prompt efforts by the medical team, he could not be revived and succumbed while in the line of duty,” it said.
The Army described Naik Tilak Singh as a dedicated soldier whose courage, professionalism and unwavering commitment reflected the finest traditions of the Indian Army.
