Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested a drug peddler and also recovered a charas-like substance during naka checking in Rakh Litter area of Pulwama, officials said.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that the accused, identified as Nawaz Ahmad Khan of Wachi, Shopian, attempted to flee after spotting the police but was apprehended by the police party. A case (FIR No. 29/2026) has been registered at Police Station Litter, and investigation is underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curb drug trafficking and appealed people to share information about narcotics-related activities.
