Bandipora : Social Welfare Department (SWD) Bandipora on Monday organized Inter-Generational Bonding Activities for Senior Citizens under the Atal VayoAbhyuday Yojana (AVAY) at Wangipora Stadium, Sumbal.
The programme aimed to strengthen interaction and understanding between senior citizens and the younger generation while promoting active and healthy ageing. Various activities including sports events, storytelling sessions, and interactive engagements were organized during the event.
Senior citizens enthusiastically participated in the activities and shared their life experiences and stories with the younger participants, making the programme both engaging and meaningful.
On the occasion, several senior citizens were felicitated in recognition of their contributions and life experiences. The event highlighted the importance of respecting elders and preserving the cultural and social values they pass on to younger generations.
