DDC Rajouri reviews progress of development works, flagship schemes

Rajouri :District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, Saturday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of developmental works and implementation of various welfare schemes by different departments in the district.

During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the progress of units established under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the registrations under Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP). He directed the concerned officers to further intensify awareness and ensure maximum registration of beneficiaries.

The implementation of PM Vishwakarma Scheme was also reviewed, wherein the DDC directed the concerned departments to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are provided with proper training and toolkits under the scheme.

Reviewing the progress under Mission YUVA, the District Development Commissioner asked the concerned officers to expedite the process in blocks where the performance was found to be lagging behind.

DDC also reviewed the status of houses sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural) and instructed the concerned authorities to ensure timely construction of the houses for the beneficiaries.

The progress of registration and updation of data on the E-Nazar portal was also discussed during the meeting. The District Development Commissioner directed the officers to ensure timely and accurate updation of data.

Taking stock of the implementation of the Ground Water programme, the DDC directed the Executive Engineer PHE to conduct regular sampling to check water quality.

DDC also reviewed the progress under the Vibrant Village Programme, particularly focusing on the formation and functioning of Self Help Groups in the identified villages.

Emphasizing the importance of timely completion of developmental works, he directed the concerned departments to accelerate the pace of works being executed under DhartiAaba.

The District Development Commissioner further reviewed block-wise registrations and disposal of grievances on the JK Samadhan portal and instructed the officers to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances.

He also reviewed the implementation of several flagship schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY), Pradhan Mantri FasalBima Yojana (PMFBY), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).

The District Development Commissioner directed the officers to work in close coordination to achieve the set targets and ensure proper implementation of government schemes for the benefit of the people.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC MalikzadaSheraz-ul-Haq, ADC Chander Prakash, PO ICDS Harpal Singh, CPO Maqsood Ahmed, Deputy Director Employment Mohd Nawaz, ACD Auqil Naveed, Executive Engineer PHE Sudesh Kumar, Executive Engineer PDD Muneer Ahmed, CEO Mohd Hafeez, CAO Rajesh Verma, CMO Dr Manohar Lal Raina, DSHO, CHO and other district and sectoral officers.
