Srinagar : Police Station Awantipora has filed a charge sheet in a fake government job fraud case before the Court of the Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Awantipora.
The charge sheet has been filed in FIR No. 09/2026 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Showkat Ahmad Dar of Panzgam and Aijaz Ahmad Shah of Tral Payeen.
According to police, the accused allegedly duped the complainant of ₹7 lakh by falsely promising a government job. Investigation, supported by bank transaction records and documentary evidence, established the involvement of the accused.
The investigation was conducted by the Incharge Police Post Reshipora under the supervision of the SHO Police Station Awantipora.
Police advised the public not to fall prey to individuals offering government jobs in exchange for money and urged citizens to verify recruitment information through official government notifications.
