Srinagar : The National Institute of Technology Srinagar is set to host a Special Alumni Day, SANGAM 2.0 (W) – Women’s Science Conclave (WSC–2026), on March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This hybrid event will take place at the institute’s Common Hall and is an extension of the SANGAM initiative, which focuses on networking and mentorship between students and alumni. The conclave aims to empower women by fostering meaningful engagement between distinguished female alumni and current students, with a particular emphasis on mentorship for nearly 1,000 female students and staff. The event will honor female alumni who have significantly contributed to various professional fields, thereby upholding the institute’s legacy. The program will include a joint inaugural session featuring prominent speakers, followed by specialized sessions led by accomplished women alumni. A panel discussion will highlight the journeys and achievements of female alumni, providing valuable insights and motivation for aspiring students. Additionally, contributions from alumni and other notable individuals will be recognized through a formal jury process. This initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to enhancing women empowerment and strengthening alumni engagement as a vital aspect of institutional growth. Registration for faculty members, research scholars, and students is set at Rs. 100, with interested participants encouraged to register via the official portal.
