Kathua : District Industries Centre (DIC) Kathua Thursday organized an Awareness–cum–Facilitation Camp here at Green Park Colony. The event was held under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme for the year 2025–26.
The programme focused on promotion and on-the-spot facilitation of Udyam Registration for MSME units, traders and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of General Manager, DIC, Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary.
Functional Managers Suryavanshi Manish Bhagat, Pallavi Bhardwaj, Vivek Singh and Vishawdeep Singh coordinated the camp along with Accountant Narayan Singh, JA Devinder Verma and other staff members.
The programme witnessed active participation from President, Kathua Units Industries Association, Industrial Unit Holders, traders and other MSME stakeholders operating in and around Kathua.
The participants were sensitized about the significance, procedure and benefits of Udyam Registration under the RAMP framework, including access to government incentives, credit facilitation, policy support and formal recognition under the MSME ecosystem.
The General Manager DIC Kathua said that formalization of enterprises through Udyam Registration is a crucial step towards strengthening the MSME sector. “It enables entrepreneurs to avail institutional credit, subsidies and other government support,” he said and emphasized that the department is committed to extending doorstep facilitation and handholding support to ensure that maximum eligible units are brought under the formal MSME framework.
Detailed awareness sessions were conducted on procedural requirements and advantages of enterprise formalization. On-the-spot registration assistance and handholding support were provided to facilitate immediate processing and redressal of queries.
The initiative aimed at strengthening MSME formalization, promoting ease of doing business and encouraging entrepreneurship in Kathua district. The programme concluded with positive response from stakeholders.
