Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has intensified its action across the district and during the course of action seized 8 vehicles including 5 Tractors & 3 Tippers involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals across Ganderbal district.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that authorities intercepted vehicles illegally transporting while extracting materials from Nallah Sindh without permissions. This operation was carried out in close collaboration with the Geology & Mining Department as part of an proactive approach to combat illegal mineral transportation in the region. In its statement police reiterated its commitment to safeguard natural resources and warned offenders against engaging in illegal mining and mineral transportation, reassuring therein that stringent legal actions will be pursued against all individuals involved in unlawful extraction, transportation, or trade of minerals.
