Drugs Control Deptt Shopian conducts inspections in distt, Closes two shops for violations

Shopian : In compliance with directions issued by District Commissioner, Shopian, Drugs Control Department, Shopian conducted inspections in Hermain, Landoora, Nagisharan, and Kundalan, Pinjoora villages of the district Shopian since yesterday to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the Rules framed thereunder.
During the inspection drive, the procurement and sale records of various scheduled drugs were thoroughly examined. CCTV footage was verified, and compliance with computerized billing requirements was also checked.
During the course of inspections, two medical shops were closed down for non-adherence to the provisions of the Act. Further necessary legal action under the relevant provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules shall follow against them.
