H&H Deptt Shopian conducts capacity building workshop for Graphical indication, ODOP

Shopian : A one day capacity building program on design, packaging and branding for artisans, weavers and other producer groups engaged in Geographical Indication, One District One Product (ODOP) and District as export hub products of kashmir division was Tuesday organised at Gagren Shopian under RAMP(Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance) Scheme by Handicrafts and Handloom department Shopian.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 100 artisans/weavers and other producer groups from across the Shopian district.
Experts in design and marketing from JKEDI Shopian delivered detailed presentations on the importance of product value addition through improved eco-friendly packaging, labelling standards and brand creation.
Participants were sensitized about the role of social media platforms, e-commerce opportunities in promoting traditional kashmiri crafts.
Interactive session was held wherein the participants shared their experience, challenges and suggestions about marketing and packaging of products.
