SWD B’pora organises awareness- cum-geriatic camp under Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana at Town Hall

Bandipora : Social Welfare Department (SWD) Bandipora in collabration with health department and district legal services authority Bandipora organised one-day awareness – cum- geriatic care camp under the flagship programme Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana(AVYAY) at Town Hall Bandipora with focused outreach to senior citizens.
On the occasion, health check ups of senior citizens were carried out by a team of doctors from health department and free medicines were also distributed. Later special awareness was given on Dementia and its prevention, legal rights of senior citizens.
The event witnessed participation from officials of social welfare deparment, health deparment and legal experts from district legal services authority Bandipora, culminating in a fruitful interactive session wherein attendees clarified their queries.
The convergent endeavour reflects the Department’s unwavering commitment towards financial holistic welfare of senior citizens, aligning with objectives of AVYAY scheme.
