Jammu : Following the directions of Director Law Enforcement J&K, S.S. Balbir Singh and Assistant Director Law Enforcement Jammu Kuldeep Singh, a meeting of agri-input dealers was convened Saturday. Law Enforcement Inspector Kathua Anil Gupta presided over the meeting at the Sub-Divisional Office, Billawar.
The meeting was attended by SMS (DL) Sanjay Gupta, Kuldeep Khajuria and SMS (SDL) Rajesh Kumar, along with representatives of various agri-input establishments of the district.
During the meeting, officials issued clear instructions to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the Seeds Act 1966, the Fertiliser (Control) Order 1985 and the Insecticides Act 1968. Officials directed dealers and retailers to prominently display approved price lists of all seeds, fertilisers and pesticides, issue proper invoices for each transaction and maintain accurate stock and sale registers as per the standing instructions of the Director, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department Jammu.
The officials categorically conveyed that any deviation or non-compliance with statutory provisions and directions shall be treated as a serious violation. Necessary action under the relevant Seeds, Fertiliser and Insecticides laws shall be initiated against defaulting dealers and retailers without further notice.
