Jammu : Day 4 of the Martyrs Memorial Hockey Tournament featured thrilling quarter-final encounters, as teams battled fiercely for a coveted place in the semi-finals.
In the 2nd Quarter Final, Punjab Police delivered a commanding performance, defeating Poonch XI 7–0. Pawandeep Singh was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution.
The 3rd Quarter Final saw J&K Police edge past Jammu South in a closely contested match decided by a penalty shootout, which J&K Police won 3–0. Goalkeeper Probjot Singh was declared Man of the Match for his exceptional display under pressure.
In the 4th Quarter Final, Shahbad Hockey Academy registered a dominant 10–0 victory over Baba Chand Ji Hockey Club, Sujanpur. Navraj Singh earned the Man of the Match award for his brilliant performance.
With the semi-final line-up now taking shape, the tournament continues to showcase high standards of competitive hockey and exemplary sportsmanship, promising exciting contests ahead.
