Srinagar : In view of the avalanche advisory issued for higher reaches of District Ganderbal, J&K Police on Wednesday established dedicated helpline numbers to ensure timely assistance in case of any emergency.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Srinagar Police advised to people avoid unnecessary travel towards higher altitudes and avalanche-prone areas until weather conditions improve and the advisory is lifted by the competent authorities. General Public, tourists, and commuters have been asked to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the administration to safeguard their lives and property.
