Reasi: As part of the ongoing Financial Literacy Week (Feb 9 to Feb 13, the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) Wednesday organised a series of Financial Literacy Awareness Camps across Reasi district to promote customer awareness and safe banking practices.
The programme was led by Senior Manager RBI, Amandeep Kaur and witnessed active participation from students, villagers and security personnel.
This year’s theme, “Know Your Customer (KYC) – Your First Step to Banking,” was emphasized throughout the sessions, highlighting the importance of KYC compliance and responsible banking behaviour.
The awareness camps were organized at Government Degree College,District Police lines and RSETI Complex.
During the sessions, participants were educated on the role and functions of the Reserve Bank of India, the importance of KYC compliance, financial discipline and the distinction between needs and wants. Special emphasis was laid on safe banking practices, digital transactions, prevention of cyber crimes and protection against digital frauds.
The programme featured presentations and interactive lectures delivered by Senior Manager RBI Amandeep kaur, Lead District Manager Raman Vikas, Branch Manager JKGB Keshav Rana.
