RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 06: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban and the District Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA, Varunjeet Singh Charak today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the Mission in the district.

The meeting was attended by ACR, Shokat Hayat Mattoo, SDMs of Banihal, Gool and Ramsoo, GM DIC, Cluster Head J&K Bank Ramban, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, AD Employment, Career Counselling Officer DECC, J&K Bank branch heads of the district and District Programme Manager NRLM Ramban.

The ADC conducted a detailed review of progress achieved under various components of Mission YUVA, including the status of applications received, cases sponsored to banks, sanctioned cases and pendency at the bank level. Expressing concern over delays in certain cases, he directed all bank branch heads to ensure that pending cases are processed and sanctioned positively by 21 February without fail.

Emphasizing the need for a streamlined sanctioning process, the ADC instructed banks to simplify procedural formalities and adopt a facilitative, youth-friendly approach. He stressed that unemployed youth and aspiring entrepreneurs should be guided and encouraged, rather than discouraged due to avoidable procedural bottlenecks.

A detailed discussion was also held on key Mission parameters, including capacity-building initiatives, progress under Udyam Jagriti, submission of progress and completion reports and adherence to prescribed timelines.

Officers were directed to ensure timely data updation and submission of reports for effective monitoring and evaluation.

Meanwhile, a Youth Engagement meeting was conducted simultaneously, during which all departments were asked to submit a comprehensive Youth Engagement Plan outlining proposed activities and targeted interventions under Mission YUVA.

Departments were also instructed to nominate designated officials for creation of Maker, Checker and Approver IDs to facilitate smooth operationalization and effective monitoring through the online portal.

The District Programme Manager NRLM Ramban was directed to intensify awareness generation among Self Help Group (SHG) women across all blocks and ensure timely submission of beneficiary feedback forms. Emphasis was laid on strengthening grassroots mobilization and providing structured handholding support to maximize outreach and impact.

The ADC stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination, proactive functioning of stakeholders and strict adherence to timelines for successful implementation of Mission YUVA in the district. All officers and banking institutions were instructed to work in close coordination and ensure expeditious disposal of cases for effective implementation of the Mission across Ramban.
