DLSA Ang organizes awareness Prog on Mediation 2.0

Anantnag : District Legal Services Authority Anantnag organized a special awareness programme on mediation under the theme “Mediation for the Nation 2.0” Thursday at District Court Complex Anantnag, to promote awareness on Mediation as an effective mode of dispute resolution.
Principal DistrictAnd Sessions Judge (Chairman District Legal Services Authority) Anantnag, Tahir Khurshid Raina and other Judicial Officers of the District Court Anantnag, laid emphasis on mediation. They said that the Mediation can play an effective role in disposal of cases and is flexible in nature.
All the trained mediators were directed to give their best to make mediation process an effective for disposal of cases. All the judicial officers of District Anantnag were directed to identify and refer maximum number of cases for mediation and actively participate and coordinate to make this campaign successful.
“The 90 day Mediation Drive is the justice at the door step. Mediation not only saves time and resources but also preserves relationships” said Ld. Principal District Judge. He also appealed to the lawyers, litigants and general public to come forward and take advantage of this initiative.
He also highlighted how disputes, especially matrimonial matters, MACT and recovery suits can be resolved effectively through mediation.
Direction was given to staff members and legal aid functionaries to actively reach-out and extend support to such litigants in mediation process.
The programme was attended by all the judicial officers, legal aid defense counsels, the Learned Advocates, PLVs and general public”.
