KATHUA, JANUARY 30: Government Degree College Ramkote on Friday paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 78th death anniversary, observed as Martyr’s Day.

The faculty and students paid floral tributes to revered Bapu and recalled his teachings of non-violence. A short documentary on Mahatma Gandhi’s life was screened. The documentary explored Gandhiji’s principles of non-violence, truth, simplicity and his contributions to India’s freedom movement.

The event concluded with observation of two minute silence. Faculty present included Prof. Pankaj Nandan, Prof. Suresh Chander, Prof. Anu Sharma, Prof. Vasundra Raje, Mr. Kuldeep, Mr. Krishan Singh and Mr. Rajinder Kumar.
