Baramulla commemorated the 77th Republic Day with exceptional enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at District Police Lines, Baramulla on 25 January 2026. A vibrant and distinguished ceremony was organised to showcase the capabilities of the Indian Army and to motivate the youth of Baramulla to consider a career in the Armed Forces, instilling a deep sense of pride and national spirit.
The event was organised by the Dagger Division of Chinar Corps. GOC, Dagger Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Cdr, Baramulla Brigade along with senior officials.
A key highlight of the celebration was an impressive performances of Strings of Baramulla, martial arts demonstrations by Army Jawans & students of Chinar YUVA Center Baramulla, dog show and a captivating display of new generation weapons and military equipment, reflecting the professionalism, technological prowess and operational readiness of the Indian Army.
Approximately 1,500 spectators, including Army and government dignitaries, students from schools and colleges and members of the local community witnessed the event. The students interacted keenly with soldiers, drawing inspiration to serve the nation.
The display received widespread appreciation from students and the local community, who expressed admiration for the discipline, dedication and advanced capabilities of the Indian Army, reinforcing trust and pride in the Armed Forces.
