Vande Mataram Phase-II Celebrations:Pulwama Admin Organises Mega Commemoration Event at Awantipora

Pulwama : In alignment with the nationwide commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram”, the District Administration Pulwama Thursday organised a mega commemoration event under Phase-II of the celebrations at Sub-Division Awantipora.
The celebrations commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram”, patriotic songs and pledge-taking ceremonies, reflecting collective commitment towards the values of unity, integrity and nation-building. The event also featured exhibitions and departmental stalls, highlighting government services and grievance redressal mechanis
The programme was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Awantipora and witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, students, and members of the public. The event aimed at reinforcing the spirit of national unity through cultural and educational engagements.
Furthermore, as part of the commemorative activities, the Education Department organised a series of student-centric programmes including film screenings, quiz competitions, essay writing contests and painting competitions providing a platform for young minds to express their feelings of patriotism and national heritage.
Meanwhile, as part of the celebrations across the district, a programme was also organised by the Cooperative department. The programme was attended by the members of various cooperative societies and focused on highlighting the importance and role of the National Song in strengthening national unity and patriotism.
Besides, District Youth Services and Sports Office Pulwama organised a mashaal rally on Wednesday at Pulwama as part of the celebrations.The rally saw enthusiastic participation of people from all walks of life including students from various schools.
The rally was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Pulwama and various other district and sectoral officers.
