Jammu : Government College for Women Parade Ground organised a special programme as part of phase II of celebration of commemoration of “150 Years of National Pride – Vande Mataram” in the college. The event was conducted under the patronage of Principal, Dr. Ravender K. Tickoo and guidance of Dean Students Welfare led by Dr. Seema Malpotra.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who gathered to relive the spirit of nationalism through a movie screening based on the theme of Vande Mataram and India’s freedom struggle. The screening highlighted the historical significance of the song and its role in uniting the nation during the independence movement.
Later, students and faculty members recited Vande Mataram, filling the campus environment with national pride. The event concluded on a meaningful note, leaving students inspired and proud of the nation’s rich legacy. The programme successfully reinforced the message of unity, patriotism and respect for India’s national identity among the young minds. The event was coordinated by Ishita and Kajal and ended with a vote of thanks by Kanan Kapoor.
