Ramban: As part of the second phase of the nationwide commemoration marking the 150th Anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram”, the District Administration Ramban, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, on Thursday organized a series of activities across schools, colleges and educational institutions to promote patriotism, national unity and love for the motherland.
A variety of competitions including essay writing, painting, debates, quizzes, poster making, slogan writing and speech contests were organised, highlighting the spirit of patriotism, national integration and reverence for Mother Earth. Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing creativity and a deep sense of national pride through their performances and presentations. Collective singing of “Vande Mataram” by students and teachers further reflected unity, cultural heritage and national pride.
One of the key events was held here at Government Model Higher Secondary School which was attended by Chief Education Officer, Principal MHSS Ramban, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Zonal Education Officer along with officers and officials from line departments.
In consonance with the Phase-II celebrations, Government Degree College Batote organized multiple activities. The programme commenced with collective singing of “Vande Mataram” by Principal, Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta, faculty members and students, filling the campus with patriotic fervour.
An essay writing competition on the theme “Role of Vande Mataram in the Indian Freedom Struggle” was also hosted. Neha Devi (Semester V) secured first position, followed by Lalita Devi and Zahida Banoo (Semester I). Poster making and slogan writing competitions were also held, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students.
The celebrations concluded on a high note, reinforcing a renewed sense of national pride, unity and commitment to the ideals of the nation.
