Awantipora :- The CIED–IUST Foundation organised a one-day Innovate X 1.0: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Program under the Mission YUVA initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs. The programme was conducted by Prof. Parvez A. Mir, CEO, CIED–IUST Foundation.
The inaugural session was among others attended by Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer at IUST, Dr. Basharat Nabi Dar, Coordinator of the EDC, and Dr. Mohd Asif Bashir Naqshbandi, Coordinator of the IPR Cell, alongside members of the CIED–IUST Foundation, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students from various educational institutions. Approximately 100 participants, including over 20 startups, engaged in the program. Prof. Parvez A. Mir emphasized the importance of the newly introduced Mission YUVA scheme by the J&K Government, encouraging attendees to register on the Mission YUVA portal to access funding and support. A video presentation was shown to illustrate the registration process. Mr. Sameer Wazir provided insights into the CIED–IUST Foundation, detailing the mentoring, support, and funding opportunities available for young entrepreneurs. Dr. Basharat Nabi Dar discussed the expanding field of food entrepreneurship, highlighting the food technology startups and laboratory facilities offered by the Foundation. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Syed Abdul Basit, who encouraged participants to utilize the Mission YUVA scheme to foster successful entrepreneurial ventures. Guidance was also provided on how to submit applications under the scheme.
