MVD Kishtwar distributes helmets, pamphlets to raise awareness on road safety

Kishtwar : As a part of National Road Safety Month 2026 and to promote road safety and responsible driving, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Kishtwar in collaboration with NHIDCL, Traffic Police and Kishtwar Automobiles organized a road safety awareness drive here at Shalimar.
The MVD team distributed free Head gears (Helmets) and IEC pamphlets among road users to promote road safety and seek public cooperation.
The two-wheeler riders and the general public were sensitized to the importance of wearing helmets, following traffic rules and adopting safe driving practices to prevent road mishaps.
MVI Robin Parihar and DTI Karan Singh interacted with commuters and emphasized that helmets are a crucial life-saving gear and shall be worn compulsorily by both riders and pillion riders.
The pamphlets contained information about the Traffic Rules, Safety protocols and responsible road behavior.
