Rather emphasizes timely completion, adherence to quality parameters
Jammu : Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, Monday convened a meeting with senior officers to review the issues pertaining to construction of new Legislature Complex at Jammu, repair/renovation works in both MLA Hostels, arrangement for NeVa Seva Kendra for MLAs in Legislative Assembly and other ongoing development works to have a first-hand appraisal of the pace and quality of works.
The Speaker reviewed various development projects, including the replacement of the digital sound system in the Assembly Hall in Jammu, the installation of lifts in the MLA hostels in Jammu and Srinagar, and necessary repairs related to electrical and civil works. Key officials present at the meeting included Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Additional Chief Secretary Anil Singh, among others. Regarding the construction of a new Legislative Complex in Jammu, the Speaker emphasized the importance of timely completion, with work expected to commence within ten days and to be finished within 18 months. The Speaker also stressed the need for an uninterrupted sound system in the Assembly Hall to ensure smooth operations during the upcoming session, with assurances that the sound system replacement and arrangements for the NeVA Sewa Kendra for MLAs would be completed before the session begins.
