Budgam: Press Information Bureau (PIB) Srinagar, in collaboration with the District Administration Budgam, organised a Media Workshop ‘Vartalap’ at Budgam Saturday to sensitise the media fraternity about the provisions, objectives and implementation framework of the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025.The programme was inaugurated by the District Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. About 45 journalists from District Budgam participated in the day-long workshop.
Addressing the participants Duty Commission Budgam Dr Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat emphasized the vital role of media in simplifying complex policy reforms for public understanding. He noted that informed reporting enhances transparency, accountability, and the effective implementation of government programs at the grassroots level. The Viksit Bharat–GRAMG Act, 2025 was highlighted as a significant shift in rural employment policy, necessitating active media engagement to ensure timely and accurate communication of its benefits to rural households. The importance of fact-based, development-oriented journalism was underscored, particularly regarding welfare legislations that affect livelihoods and rural infrastructure.
