Good Governance Week: Day-4 witnesses extensive outreach, public welfare activities across B’pora Distt

Bandipora : As part of Good Governance Week– “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, the Department of Animal Husbandry, Bandipora, organized awareness programmes and grievance redressal camps at Panchayat Chandergair (Block Sumbal), Panchayat Halqa Arin and Chittibandi (Block Bandipora) and Panchayat HalqaBadugam (Block Tulail).
Farmers and livestock rearers were sensitized about various animal husbandry schemes, eligibility and service delivery mechanisms, while their grievances were addressed on the spot to promote transparency and citizen-centric governance.
During the outreach activities, participants received guidance for availing departmental benefits, and several issues were resolved promptly. The department also distributed culled birds among poultry farmers as a livelihood support measure. The initiatives reflected the department’s continued commitment to responsive governance and strengthening trust at the grassroots level.
Under Good Governance Week, “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, the Sheep Husbandry Department Bandipora Monday conducted FMD vaccination drives and awareness camps across the district. The vaccination drives were held at various locations, including Village Braripora of Sheep Development Block Mantrigam.
Awareness programmes were organized at Sheep Extension Centre Amchikundal, SDO Offices Hajin and Kunan, and Sheep Development Block Naidkhai, focusing on animal health management, vaccination and departmental schemes, reaffirming the department’s outreach to farmers at the grassroots.
Similarly, Horticulture Department Bandipora organized grievance redressal camps at Hajin, Aloosa, Arin, Bandipora, Sumbal (including Irrigation Colony) and Nesbal Horticulture Zone, Sumbal. The programmes aimed to address farmers’ grievances, provide on-spot assistance, and spread awareness about horticulture schemes.
“Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” was also celebrated across educational institutions in Bandipora Monday, including HSS Nadihal, GHS Nadihal, HS Zalpora, MS Guzerbal, MS Gundpora, PS SathriChuntimulla, PS Kunzpora, PS Gada Hanji Mohalla, GHS SK Payeen, MS NowgamPayeen and MS BathiporaZalpora.
Staff and students highlighted progressive initiatives, with special focus on advancements in the education sector.
The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Bandipora, along with the Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACP), Bandipora, participated in a public outreach camp organized at Panchayat Halqa Ayathmulla, Block Bandipora, under the initiative Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore.
During the camp, the officers interacted with local residents and listened to their grievances. The public was assured that all genuine issues raised would be addressed on a priority basis.
Likewise, department of Fisheries, Bandipora, conducted awareness programmes at Banyari and Gurez to sensitise fishermen and the general public about various fisheries-related schemes and initiatives. During the programmes, participants were informed about sustainable fishing practices, available departmental support, and livelihood opportunities under the fisheries sector.
