Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has attached a double-storey residential house on 8 marlasof land situated at Wantpora Eidgah, in Srinagar belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Basit Bilal Dar S/o Bilal Ahmad Dar R/o Wantpora, Eidgah, Srinagar, valued at approximately ₹1 Crore.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that the accused, Basit Bilal Dar, is implicated in two cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, specifically FIR No. 59/2024 and FIR No. 114/2025. Investigations revealed that Dar acquired property through illicit proceeds from drug trafficking, leading to the attachment of this property under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. The attachment was executed in compliance with legal procedures and witnessed by two independent parties. As a result of the attachment order, Dar is prohibited from selling, leasing, transferring, or altering the property, as well as from creating any third-party interests until further notice. In it statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat drug trafficking and dismantle the financial networks supporting the narcotics trade, appealing people therein to cooperate in providing credible information to help eradicate drug peddling .
