DIC Kulgam conducts awareness cum orientation Prog on Marketing & Entrepreneurship under PM Vishwakarma

Kulgam: District Industries Centre (DIC) Kulgam in collaboration with Ministry of MSME, Srinagar Thursday conducted an awareness cum orientation programme on Marketing and Entrepreneurship under PM Vishwakarma.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Mohd Altaf Khan presided as cheif guest of programme.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kulgam, Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone; Assistant Director MSME, Saheel Alaqband, Prinicpal Polytechnic, Prinicipal ITI, Faculty Members of IUST, District CSC Head, Representatives from MSME Srinagar, Industrial Promotion Officer and other officials of DIC Kulgam were present in the programme.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kulgam gave awareness on the PM Vishwakarma scheme disseminating information among traditional artisans and craftsmen about the various benefits available under the scheme and encouraged them to avail the benefits.
Assistant Director, MSME, in his inaugural address, sensitized participants about importance of marketing and branding of the products made by the traditional skilled artisans cum craftsmen.
The technical session, led by the faculty of IUST, emphasized on Stategiesfor Effective Product Promotion, Branding, Packaging, Showcasing , Social Media Marketing and Community Based Events and Effective Costing , Budgeting and Inventory Management for Small Businesses to upgrade the skills of PM Vishwakarmas.
The PM Vishwakarma artisans were also felicitated at the end of the programme.
