Srinagar, Dec 18:  Fire and Emergency Services aspirants on Thursday expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor and senior BJP leader Ravindra Raina following the government’s decision to terminate the services of 103 firemen appointed through a fraudulent recruitment process in 2020.

According to reports, a group of aspirants assembled at the Press Enclave in Srinagar, welcoming the move and urging authorities to also examine additional evidence already submitted in connection with the case.

The aspirants termed the inquiry impartial and just, stating that the action has reinforced their faith in a transparent, merit-based recruitment system. “The appointments made earlier were irregular. We respect the outcome of the probe and hope such decisive steps will ensure fairness and accountability in future selections,” they said.

It is pertinent to mention that the Jammu and Kashmir government terminated the services of 103 firemen after an official investigation established that the 2020 recruitment process was marred by serious irregularities and fraud.
