Baramulla, Dec 12 : Sopore Police today launched a district-wide drive against traffic violations to enforce road discipline and ensure safer movement on public roads across Police District Sopore.

As part of the drive, action is being taken against visible violations of traffic rules and the Motor Vehicles Act.

Vehicles with outside UT registration numbers were also checked, and several vehicles were seized and challaned for violations of the MV Act.

The enforcement drive aims to inculcate a sense of responsibility among road users and ensure orderly, lawful and disciplined behaviour on roads.

Special emphasis is being laid on addressing visible violations so that the implementation of law is clearly seen and felt on the ground.

Sopore Police have intensified checking at key locations and are maintaining strict vigil to deter violations that endanger public safety.

The drive will continue in the coming days, and strict action shall be taken against violators without exception.

Sopore Police urge all road users to follow traffic rules in letter and spirit and cooperate in making roads safer for everyone.
