Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested a man who had been hiding from the law in a case under FIR No. 69/2023 U/S 457, 380 IPC registered at Police Station Kunzer.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that Saqib Ahmad Shah S/O Gh. Hassan Shah R/O Takia Batapora, was apprehended after evading arrest for an extended period related to a 2023 case. Acting on credible information, a team from Police Station Kunzer successfully located and arrested him in the Hardshoora Kunzer area. Following his arrest, Shah was presented before the Court for further legal proceedings. In its statement Police said that this arrest demonstrates its efforts in pursuing long-term fugitives, reiterating therein its commitment to hold all offenders accountable .
