Jammu : Additional Director General J&K Armed Police Anand Jain accompanied by Vinod KumarDIG IRP Jammu Range on Tuesday visited IRP 14th Battalion Headquarters, Channi Himmat, to review the operational preparedness, welfare initiatives, and administrative functioning of the unit. On his arrival, a ceremonial welcome was presented to him by Commandant IRP 14th Battalion, along with other officers.
During the recent visit, ADG Armed inaugurated several new facilities, including the Shaheed Ranbir Singh Thakur Hall, Martyrs’ Gallery, and two barracks named after martyrs. These infrastructures serve as tributes to the sacrifices of brave martyrs and aim to improve accommodation standards for personnel. ADG Armed emphasized that such initiatives help preserve the legacy of martyrs and foster commitment, patriotism, and professional excellence within the ranks. Additionally, a six-week Office Work and Management Course was launched to enhance the administrative and managerial skills of police personnel. Anand Jain underscored the significance of capacity-building initiatives in improving institutional efficiency and service delivery within the police organization. ADG Armed also held a Darbar with officers and jawans, where he listened to their concerns and assured that genuine issues would be prioritized. He directed unit administration to focus on the welfare of personnel, discipline, skill development, professional training, and constructive public engagement. During the ceremony, DGP’s medals were awarded to 16 officers and officials for their distinguished services, and certificates were presented to the top performers of a one-month Capsule Course, encouraging continued excellence in their professional endeavors. The visit concluded with a thorough inspection of facilities, interactive discussions, and expressions of gratitude from the battalion for ADG Armed’s guidance and leadership.
