After day-long deliberations and with the unanimous consent of all participating members, a major resolution was adopted: A committee was constituted to oversee the election process of PSAJK. The committee will be headed by Mr. Khursheed Bismal, Chairman of PSAJK Pir Panchal & Chenab Valley Region of Jammu Province, who accepted this responsibility during the meeting via video conference.

In a historic and unanimously adopted resolution, all general and executive members of PSAJK acknowledged the extraordinary contributions of PSAJK Founder and former President, G. N. Var Recognising his decades-long service, visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the private education sector in Jammu & Kashmir, the members agreed to confer upon him the title of “Lifetime Chairman of PSAJK.”

His guidance, mentorship and moral support were described as essential for rebuilding unity and restoring the strong institutional foundation of PSAJK. His lifelong dedication, steadfast support to schools and tireless efforts for the private education sector were widely appreciated by all participants.

Additionally, the Association announced that a grand felicitation ceremony will soon be organised, where Dr. G.N Var will be formally honoured and presented with the “Lifetime Chairman” title. Senior leaders, stakeholders and educators will gather to pay tribute to his lifelong contribution in the field of education and his unmatched service to the private school sector of Jammu & Kashmir.

PSAJK State Vice-President, Manzoor Ahmad, said, “Today’s resolutions reflect the collective will of our entire association. The formation of an independent Election Committee marks a new beginning for accountability and transparency within PSAJK.”

PSAJK District President Srinagar, Bilal Ahmad, said, “We have always advocated for reforms that strengthen the democratic structure of PSAJK. Today’s decisions honour that commitment. We believe G. N. Var’s guidance and the new committee’s mandate will help restore trust and streamline the association’s functioning.”

PSAJK District President Anantnag, Mohammad Syed, stated, “This meeting has brought renewed hope and unity. We stand firmly behind the decision to establish an impartial Election Commission. With transparent elections, PSAJK will emerge stronger and more capable of addressing the educational challenges faced by our students and schools.”
