Labroo directs timely completion, quality standards , essential utilities for new Tehsil Office
Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Thursday inspected the progress of ongoing construction works for the new building for Tehsil Office Eidgah, aimed at modernizing and augmenting the revenue setup to enhance public service delivery.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Tehsildar Eidgah, Mohammad Iqbal Zargar; Executive Engineer R&B (Core), Arif Rehman Hazari, Executive Engineer Water Works Division, Aijaz Ahmad, besides other officers and engineers of the concerned departments.
During the visit, the DC reviewed the quality and pace of work on the upcoming office complex. The new Revenue Office building is being constructed by the R&B Department.
The Officers apprised the DC that the new Tehsil Office will include a Tehsildar Room, Tehsildar Court Room, Waiting Hall, Naib Tehsildar Room, Staff Room, Meeting Hall, Computer Room, Establishment Room, and a modernized Record Room. It was further reported that brickwork for the ground floor of the G+1 structure has been completed, while soakage and septic works are currently in progress.
On the occasion, the DC stressed the importance of timely completion and adherence to quality standards to ensure efficient functioning of the Tehsil Office and create a more citizen-friendly environment for revenue-related services. He directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work keeping in view the limited working season while maintaining high construction standards.
