Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has recovered 1.2Kgs of Cannabis from a residential house in Zainapora Shopian.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that Police Station Zainapora has initiated legal proceedings under FIR No. 117/2025 of the NDPS Act based on specific intelligence. A search warrant was obtained from the Chief Judicial Magistrate 1st Class in Shopian, leading to a coordinated raid on the residence of Khursheed Ahmad Itoo, located in Takiya Reben Zainapora. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized 1.2 kilograms of a substance resembling cannabis. The accused, however, is currently absconding, and authorities are actively pursuing efforts to apprehend him.
