Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Friday inaugurated the Rural Business Service Hub (RBSH) established at Magerkote, Ramsoo by a young entrepreneur Ajaz Ahmed under the HADP project “Strengthening Agriculture Marketing,” being implemented by the Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department.
Accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Arun Gupta, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the facilities created under the project and appreciated the initiative for bringing essential agricultural services closer to farmers in this remote region. He emphasized that such centres will greatly benefit the farming community by providing access to modern agricultural machinery, tools and timely services, thereby enhancing productivity and reducing input costs.
He directed the Area Marketing Officer to extend proper technical guidance to the entrepreneur and ensure that the centre makes available the complete range of agricultural machinery, farm tools and other necessary inputs required by farmers. The DC was informed that the unit is also providing on-site machinery services, enabling farmers to easily hire equipment as per their requirement.
The DC encouraged local growers to take full advantage of the newly established Hub and integrate modern techniques into their farming practices for better outcomes.
Area Marketing Officer Ramban, Tehsin Iqbal Chib, Senior Scientist KVK Ramban, Raj Kumar, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Ajaz Ahmed Rishi, Horticulture Development Officer Ramsoo, Amer, Assistant Grading & Marketing Officer Batote, Raju Zutshi, Grading & Marketing Inspector and various farmers were present on the occasion.
