Kreeri (Baramulla): The Tehsil Administration Kreeri, in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES), today conducted an extensive joint mock drill at Hanfia Model Higher Secondary School, Kreeri. The initiative aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen community awareness on safety measures.
Students, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, actively participated in the drill. The SDRF team conducted a detailed demonstration on essential rescue techniques and safety protocols, showcasing practical methods to protect oneself and assist others during natural or man-made disasters.
The Fire & Emergency Services team also held a live demonstration, educating participants on effective fire safety practices, emergency response techniques, and preventive measures to mitigate fire-related incidents. Naib-Tehsildar Kreeri Nisar Ahmad graced the event as the Chief Guest, Shah while local Nambardars, Chowkidars, and community members were also in attendance, reflecting strong public interest and support for such safety initiatives.
Tehsil Administration officials emphasized that the mock drill was part of an ongoing effort to build a resilient community equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies. They further assured that similar awareness programmes will continue across the region to strengthen public safety mechanisms.
