Mission YUVA:VC BGSBU stresses Youth Participation in PM’s Viksit Bharat Vision

Rajouri : The Training & Placement Cell of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) under Mission YUVA – J&K Udyam Jagriti 4.0 organised awareness programme at the IT Conference Hall of the University. The programme aimed at sensitising students about various government schemes and opportunities for entrepreneurship, skill enhancement, and employment generation.
Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, commended the Mission YUVA initiative and encouraged students to leverage its various schemes, particularly J&K Udyam Jagriti 4.0, to foster meaningful employment opportunities. He emphasized that Mission YUVA represents a crucial advancement in youth empowerment in Jammu & Kashmir and urged students to contribute to the vision of a developed India as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed confidence in the students’ potential to aid in building a self-reliant and progressive nation and acknowledged the efforts of the Training & Placement Cell for organizing the event. Registrar Mr. Abhishek Sharma (IAS) also praised the Mission YUVA team and the Training & Placement Cell for their role in organizing the awareness program, highlighting the university’s commitment to enhancing student employability, entrepreneurship, and skill development through government initiatives. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Shafqat Nabi Mughal, Principal University Polytechnic and Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA, who outlined the program’s core components, objectives, and implementation strategies. He stressed the importance of active student participation in the capacity-building initiatives offered. Dr. Malik Mubasher Hassan, Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA at BGSBU and Convener of the Training & Placement Cell, delivered a detailed presentation on the mission’s vision, structure, and components, which include entrepreneurship development, financial linkages, skilling modules, mentoring opportunities, and digital enablement. The screening of official Mission YUVA videos further clarified the government’s objectives and support framework for students. The program concluded with a feedback session to assess student awareness and gather suggestions for future initiatives, followed by a vote of thanks from Zakir Hussain of the Training & Placement Cell.
