BGSBU to Establish NCC wing on campus

Rajouri : Ajay Dhill, Commanding Officer of the 5th NCC Battalion, called on Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), and discussed the modalities for establishing an NCC Wing at the University.
Dduring the interaction, both sides explored the formal procedures and infrastructure requirements needed to introduce NCC activities on campus. The initiative aims to instill discipline, leadership qualities, patriotism, and a spirit of national service among students.
Prof. Jawaid Iqbal expressed strong support for the proposal and reiterated the University’s commitment to providing students with avenues that contribute to their holistic development. He noted that establishing an NCC Wing would be a significant step toward enriching student engagement and nurturing responsible and confident youth.
On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor acknowledged the pivotal role of Registrar, Abhishek Sharma whose efforts and coordination have been instrumental in advancing the process of establishing the NCC Wing on campus. Ajay Dhill appreciated the proactive approach of the University administration and assured full cooperation from the 5th NCC Battalion in facilitating the establishment of the NCC Wing.
