DEO Budgam inspects Counting Centre for 27-AC Budgam

Budgam : In view of the Counting for for Bye–Elections to 27–Assembly Constituency Budgam on 14th November 2025, District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of the Counting Centre and took an on-spot assessment of the arrangements being put in place for the smooth and transparent counting process.

During the visit, the DEO Budgam inspected all designated counting halls, strong room areas, entry and exit points, security arrangements, and facilities being established for the counting staff and observers. He also reviewed the layout plan of counting tables, movement corridors, CCTV surveillance systems, and communication setups to ensure compliance with Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines.

The DEO Budgam directed the concerned officers to ensure foolproof security, uninterrupted power supply, proper barricading, and regulated entry for authorized personnel only. He emphasized maintaining complete transparency and adherence to all ECI protocols during the entire counting process.

The DEO visited the Media Centre established for counting and reviewed arrangements for real-time dissemination of counting trends and updates to the press and media personnel.

He instructed officers to facilitate the media with adequate infrastructure, seating, and communication facilities.

During the inspection, RO to 27-AC budgam, Dy. DEO Budgam, AROs, Executive Engineers, and other senior officers accompanied the DEO.

He stressed that all concerned departments must work in close coordination to ensure that every aspect of the counting process is conducted in a peaceful, efficient, and transparent manner.

The DEO Budgam expressed satisfaction over the progress of preparations and directed officers to complete all pending arrangements.

He said that the District Election office Budgam is fully committed to ensuring the smooth conduct of the counting process in accordance with ECI norms and in an atmosphere of fairness and order.
